● Properties
HECMC is a mixture of water-soluble cellulose ethers, both with the nature of CMC and HEC, as the CMC, as it has a high bonding capacity and hydration on the suspended solids with good flocculation, but due to non-ionic hydroxyl the presence of ethyl group, compared with the CMC and salt it more compatible. Another advantage is and multivalent cation cross-linking capabilities, such HECMC solution viscosity can be increased many, but HECMC solution with Fe, AL, Cr, etc. role can be cross-linked gel, cross-linked HECMC
gel suspended particles of the material is more efficient vehicle.

● Application
HECMC products are used in oil recovery of oil, high water binding properties, compatibility with the salt and the fine clay surface adsorption, gives HECMC excellent control of fluid containing a high salt content.
These same properties also reduces moisture loss in the slurry.
HECMC also used in oil field fracturing, through cross-linking with multivalent cations HECMC formed gel is viscoelastic gel, suitable for suspension and transport of sediment or other particulate material into the wellbore and fracture.
